Glen Willow

Glen Willow was originally built in 1972 and contains 34 apartments and townhomes. We recently renovated the 5 residential buildings containing all 34 units over a total area of 27,038 GSF on a 2-acre site in a flood plain. We also added a  900 square foot Net Zero community building as well as improved accessibility across the site.

We provided full architectural services through Construction Administration, including extensive Boulder entitlements process and flood plain review.
We worked closely with BHP through a series of resident meetings to first determine resident needs, and then present the design to residents and solicit feedback to ensure that the design served the residents.  The community center design arose out of these meetings, as did the addition of semi-private front porch areas to all of the residential buildings.  We also presented the design to neighboring property owners ahead of public comment periods, and worked with BHP on design modifications to ensure a smooth planning review and public comment process.
